The GST has crossed one major milestone with the GST Council finalising the tax rates for virtually all the goods and four tax slabs for services. The Council also approved the final draft of seven rules. Even as the economy inches towards the deadline of July 1, 2017, there are many more areas of concern relating to the transitional provisions. The Industry feels that these provisions do not address all the situations.
